What You Need to Understand About Lead Permissions

Leads Access within the Meta Business Manager allows admins to customise which people, CRM systems or partners can download leads.

This tool allows you to give any person with a role on your Page access to download the leads you capture through that Page.

If a Meta Business Manager admin doesn't customise who can access leads, the default rule applies, and all Page admins can download leads.

To enable Leads Access:

  1. Navigate to your Facebook Business Manager settings at https://business.facebook.com/settings

  2. Scroll down and click integrations on the left-hand panel.

  3. Click Leads Access on the drop-down menu.

  4. Select your page and select Customize access and confirm.

  5. Now, select Assign People and assign who you would like to access your leads.

Note: every time you hire a new staff member, make sure you don’t forget to include them here to access your leads if necessary.

Note that if you don't see the Customize Access box, your Leads Access Manager is already enabled. You can begin to assign people, partners, and CRMs leads access.

Only Meta Business Manager admins have the ability to enable Leads Access. If you don't see the steps above, reach out to an admin to gain access.

Please be aware that after you enable Leads Access Manager, any new Page admins or CRM systems will not have leads access permissions until a Meta Business Manager admin assigns that permission to them.

People without proper access will receive an error message when attempting to download leads.
